Lost ability to delete immediately

I recently installed an upgrade to Office 2011 for iMac. I found after doing so that I am no longer able to click on File in Finder, hold down the option key and see "delete immediately" replacing the "send to trash" command. Has anyone else experienced this.

Also, in the past I have been able to hold down the command key and click on multiple files to delete all at once instead of doing one at a time.
